Air-Cooled Condenser

Air-Cooled Condenser

In a vapor compression air conditioning system, air-cooled condensers use ambient air to remove heat from vaporized refrigerant and to condense it into liquid. They are commonly used to provide remote condensing for CRAC units and small air-cooled chillers.

Fan: The fan circulates air through the condenser coil.

Motor: The motor rotates the fan.

Condenser Coil: The condenser coil transfers heat from the refrigerant to ambient air.

Frame: The frame provides support for the coils and equipment.
