Parallel Fan Powered VAV Box

Parallel Fan Powered VAV Box

The parallel fan powered VAV box controls the space’s temperature. It does this by varying the volume of cool supply air from the air handler or by recirculating and heating return air to match the load in a space. The fan may recirculate return air to maintain higher air circulation at low load conditions.

VAV Box Inlet Dampers: Inlet dampers regulate airflow through the VAV box.

Filters: Filters cleans the recirculated air before it enters the unit.

Fan: The fan moves air through the heating coil and into the local space.

Motor: The motor rotates the fan.

Controls: Safety and temperature controls help properly operate the unit.

Electric Heating Element: The electric heating element transfers heat from element to air.
