Built-Up System / Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger

Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger

The plate and frame heat exchanger moves heat from one fluid to another. It is commonly used in built-up systems to cool chilled water with the cooling tower, in lieu of the chiller, when the outside wet-bulb temperature drops below the chilled water set point.

Plates: Plates provide the heat transfer surface between two fluids.
